Chaves County Commissioner Dara Dana has lived in Chaves County since 1978. She ran for the New Mexico State House of Representatives in 1996 and served two terms. Dana was Branch Manager for the American Red Cross for over four years and has worked as an Advertising Consultant for several local radio stations. Dara Dana won the open District 1 Commission seat in 2019.  Dana has two married daughters and two grandchildren.
