Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system that creates, manages, and analyzes different types of data. GIS links raw data and maps. It’s a tool that helps visualize the data, link it to a geographical location, and provide all supportive information on the map, thus, helping users better understand the relationship between data.

Today, GIS, as a mapping and analysis tool, is a foundation for science and many other industries.

In the Chaves County Assessor’s office, we use GIS to analyze and visualize almost 4 million acres of land and over 35,000 parcel records. We also provide different mapping services for the public using the most advanced GIS technology.

The Parcel Viewer app is a user-friendly interactive online map maintained by the Assessor’s GIS team and is free for public use. You can view information on the property with many supportive layers like surface ownership and flood zones or export and print your maps.

Watch our Educational videos to learn how to use Parcel Viewer.

Eagle Web property search is the Property database maintained by the 3rd party and provides additional assessor and treasure information on the property.
