Controlling Mosquitoes in Chaves County

The Roads Department is involved in the control and management of mosquitoes throughout Chaves County. During the active season (April - October) we actively spray areas where mosquitoes are most active. We inspect and make recommendations to citizens to reduce or eliminate breeding areas. We also supply minnows, which eat larva, for area fountains and ponds.
